FAQ
How long does a search take?
Most clients see a first short list within one to two weeks of approving the brief. Total time to hire depends on your interview process and the candidate’s notice period.
A typical timeline
- Day 1–2: a short call about the role, then we write the brief and you approve it
- Week 1–2: we search, screen and interview — then send your first short list
- Your interviews: as fast as your calendar allows; we handle the scheduling
- Offer to start date: usually one to two weeks, depending on the candidate’s notice period
What can make it longer
- Hard-to-find skills, licenses or endorsements
- Pay that sits below what the local market offers for the role
- Remote or hard-to-reach locations and unusual schedules
- Long gaps between interview rounds — good candidates take other offers
How to speed it up
Be clear about pay and schedule from the start, keep interview slots open in the week your short list arrives, and give quick feedback. The fastest searches we run are the ones where the employer answers within a day.
